Both underfloors have been stripped out entirely of wooden joists and
each floor sprayed with a wood anti-fungal solution prior to multiple
tonnes of scalpings which have been solidly compacted... A damp-proof
membrane has been installed and concreting has commenced - this may
well be completed this week... The wainscoting beneath the new nave
windows is unsafe and a plumber will be engaged to remove the cast
iron radiators so that the timber boards (on which the radiators sit)
can be safely reattached to the walls.
The floor has now been
replaced also the door into the Vestry is also complete. We are now
repairing the Lime plaster on the church walls, and have now found
that we have have water leak in the Round Window on the west wall and
will be looking at the leak from the Bell Tower.
