The Church in Wales - Yr Eglwys Yng Nghymru

Croseo i Eglwys Sant Barnabas - Welcome to Saint Barnabas Church

If you're looking for a place to worship, or just tired of all the running around and wanting to visit the Church to get a Ian Davies, Vicar of St. Barnabasbit of space, why don't you come and join us? You're assured of a great welcome and a combination of traditional and family ("child-friendly") worship in a relaxed setting.

We're part of the Anglican Church in Wales. Our roots go way back to the ancient Celtic Church with its emphasis on hearing God speaking through the bible, the centrality of worship, growing in a living relationship with Jesus and the importance of practical service within the community in which the Church is set. Like our forerunners we acknowledge the challenge of living in difficult times, being culturally "up-to-speed" and relevant, yet able to hear witness to God's unchanging love in Jesus Christ. We are convinced that the Gospel of the Kingdom is still great news for people looking for real purpose and meaning in their lives and that it can have a marked impact on our society in terms of social justice.

St Barnabas is a family church - so children are especially welcome and are part of a lively 'Junior church' which meets as part of our 10:00am Family Communion Service. For those who prefer something a little more meditative, we have Holy Eucharist services on Sunday at 8:30am and on Wednesday at 10:30am. The first Sunday of every month at 6:00pm we have an alternative, more informal, acoustically-led evening worship service, often with prayer for healing.

If you want to get in contact to discuss the church programme, it would be great to hear from you! Please take some time to read one or two of our published sermons and keep up to date with the topics being preached on a Sunday. If you would like us to pray with you or for you, use our online prayer request - let us help you through prayer and meditation. We look forward to seeing you in the near future.
